About Me

I was born and raised in RI where my parents still live. My kind and loving sister and her partner are residents of MA and my beautiful niece and her fiancé live in Long Island.  My adult son continues to call NH home.

My parents taught me from a very young age that there will always be someone further along than me, that I can learn from and also someone behind me, who may need a hand up. This belief developed into a value and directed the way that I have lived my life.

In 1994, at 15-years-old I came out as lesbian and spent much of the next ten years navigating how to balance that with the messages I had learned in my Catholic upbringing. I left home to attend College at Gordon College in MA graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Youth Ministry and having learned a lot of lessons about believing in and loving myself.

I immediately entered the non-profit field working with children, youth, and families in ME, RI, and then NH.  In 2005, I adopted my son who is now 19-years-old.  I completed my Master's Degree in Psychology in 2006 from Union Institute and University - Vermont College.  A door opened for me into Runaway and Homeless Youth work in Manchester in 2008 and it lit a spark in me.  I have been working to end youth homelessness ever since.  I have served as the Chair of the Manchester Continuum of Care, a member of the Governor's Council on Housing Stability, and graduated from Leadership Greater Manchester in 2014.

In 2021 I secured a spot on the Board of Mayor and Alderman representing Ward 12.

I currently live in Ward 12 with my wife,  Martina George-Kelly, and our cats, Myrtle and Echo.  In my free time I love spending time with my immediate and extended family, cooking meals, going on road trips, eating out, playing games, hiking NH's mountains, paddling the lakes of NH in my kayak, and skiing.  When I'm not playing outside I am spending time with friends or reading a book.

I have a full life that I love and being a Manchester Alderman has become part of that.
